Man City fans excited by three things as Pep Guardiola names starting line-up for West Ham clash

Pep Guardiola has named his squad for Manchester City 's first pre-season friendly against West Ham United ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

New signing Rodri will make his club debut in China in the Premier League Asia Cup after his £63million move from Atletico Madrid this summer.

Left-back Angelino returns to the City first team following his time at PSV, while Lukas Nmecha starts in the absence of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, who have been rested after featuring in the Copa America this summer.

Fans of the Blues have reacted in unison to the team news with the vast majority excited to see Rodri in a City shirt for the first time, with some also happy with Angelino's return.

Another development which has provided reaction aplenty is the decision by Guardiola to name David Silva as captain for the fixture, something which City fans absolutely love as the thoughts of supporters below shows.

City would make it through to the Premier League Asia Cup final on Saturday if they beat West Ham.

Confirmed Man City starting XI vs West Ham: Bravo; Danilo, Angelino, Laporte, Harwood-Bellis; Rodri, Silva (c), Doyle, Bernabe, Poveda; Nmecha.
