Man City fans dazzled by Phil Foden's superb goal for England's U21 side

Manchester City fans have plenty of reason to be optimistic heading into the new season as they seek to win the Premier League and a shining light is the talented Phil Foden .

Dubbed the Stockport Iniesta, the 19-year-old has caught the eye with Pep Guardiola's first-team featuring in the league, cup competitions and Champions League, and securing a number of trophies already in his fledgling career.

Foden has also won the FIFA U20 World Cup with England's youth side and is looking to add a further international accolade to his trophy cabinet this summer, as he competes with a vastly-talented U21 side at the European Championships.

Highlighted as a key player for Aidy Boothroyd's side, the City academy graduate laid down a marker for the remainder of the tournament by scoring the opening goal of the game against France - weaving his way through the defence to find room for a shot, then slotting neatly into the bottom corner.

France later came back to win the game with Aaron Wan-Bissaka putting through his own net deep into added time but Foden's goal dazzled supporters on social media.
