Man City fans ask Pep Guardiola to sign German international to solve problem position

Manchester City fans want Pep Guardiola to sign Robin Gosens after his outstanding performance for Germany against Portugal.

Germany completed an inspired comeback against Portugal at the European Championship on Saturday evening, overcoming their slow start to win the game 4-2 and Gosens played an important role in that result, impressing with his energy and quality on the left.

Gosens plays at left-back for Serie A side Atalanta and his marauding runs forward, which helped his side finish third in the Italian top flight, have become a staple of their attacks this season, and he's now converted his electric form onto the international stage.

The 26-year-old had a goal chalked off against Portugal that denied Germany their opener, but he continued to persevere to provide an assist for Kai Havertz's goal before he got onto the scoresheet himself to fire home his nation's fourth.

Do you think City should sign Gosens? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Gosens' outstanding display earned him the Man of the Match award and City fans couldn't help but think that he could be a perfect signing this summer.

Previous reports have claimed that City are interested in Gosens, although it's suggested that the Blues aren't the only team that are admirers of the German, with Barcelona, Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan all credited with a liking of the player.
