From a Manchester City perspective, Wednesday's trip to Aston Villa is another game in which nothing else matters besides the three points.
Admittedly, record signing Jack Grealish might beg to differ!
In the home dugout, Steven Gerrard will take on a big six club for the first time in his managerial career when the Premier League champions come to town.
Gerrard has won both of his opening games at Villa but City look to be in ominous form and could be on the verge of entering that inevitable Pep Guardiola phase of winning a stupid number of games on the bounce.
The Blues will be desperate for a win to keep the pressure on league leaders Chelsea, having trimmed the gap at the top to a point over the weekend.
On the team's latest Facebook Live, City is Ours editor Dom Farrell was accompanied by James Rushton of the Claret & Blue podcast to discuss Wednesday night's game, including an assessment of Gerrard's early days at the Villa helm.
The new Villa boss' connection with Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool was also discussed, as well as the prospect of Gerrard having to face taunts from the travelling City fanbase on the infamous slip that cost the Reds the Premier League in 2013/14 and allowed City to win the title.
Gerrard would only face City once more as a Liverpool player during 2014/15 in an early-season 3-1 defeat, missing the return fixture at Anfield and while City fans have continued to revel in his misfortune for years to come, this represents the first time City will have faced a Gerrard-managed club and a first meeting in all for seven years.
JR : “There was a bit of minor concern when Dean Smith was sacked as lots of people liked him considering his background. But Steven Gerrard came in and has not necessarily reinvented the wheel but more so built on what Smith left, which was a forward-thinking and progressive club.
“It just seems he’s introduced a lot of rules. Ollie Watkins said he’d name them but there are so many! Probably because of where he’s come from in terms of his playing days and it seems he’s taken that into his managing career.
“He’s played under all types of managers and he’s even looked at the Peps, the Jurgen Klopps and even the Dean Smiths and tried to identify what he can learn from these managers to better himself.
“There’s always an expectation at Rangers and now Villa that the players need to follow certain rules, which has made the club more intense. It was more of a friendly, popular club before but I don’t think that will fly under Gerrard."
DF : “I think the away end at Villa Park will almost certainly sing about the infamous slip within the first minute!”
