Manchester City fans felt a sense of justice after their victory over PSG due to Neymar's performance.
Goals from Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez earned City a comeback victory in the Champions League semi-final first leg after they had fallen behind early on in a pulsating encounter.
PSG had made a strong start to the game, with Neymar looking a particular threat as he ran at the City defence and put threatening balls into the box.
But City fans soon became frustrated with the Brazilian attacker's willingness to go down easily after being challenged and aired their complaints on social media.
Neymar's performance in the game split opinion, with Oasis star and City fan Liam Gallagher singling the 29-year-old out for particular criticism.
Yet plenty of others also praised Neymar's display, including Premier League stars Jack Grealish and James Maddison.
"Is there a more enjoyable player to watch in the world than Neymar," Maddison asked on social media. "Not for me."
Aston Villa star Grealish agreed with his England teammate.
"Scary how good he is," the attacker replied.
Match of the Day host Gary Lineker was also left impressed by Neymar's performance in a lightning-quick start to the game.
"Bloody hell," he tweeted. "Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are ridiculously good."
The focus will no doubt be on Neymar in the second leg as he attempts to turn the tie around in PSG's favour.
Neymar appeared frustrated by the end of the game, earning a booking for a petulant foul before surrounding the referee with his PSG teammates in an attempt to get De Bruyne sent off.
