Man City fan shouts "Scouse c***s" live on Sky News during title celebrations

A Sky presenter was left gobsmacked when a Manchester City fan shouted "Scouse c***s" into the camera live on air.

Sky News were live at the Etihad as City fans celebrated their Premier League title triumph after the Blues beat Brighton 4-1 at the Amex.

It had looked as though the title could be heading to Liverpool when Glenn Murray nodded the Seagulls in front after Sadio Mane had already scored for the Reds against Wolves at Anfield.

But City held their nerve and came roaring back to seal successive title triumphs with Aymeric Laporte, Sergio Aguero, Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan finding the back of the net.

The Sky report showed City fans celebrating in front of the Etihad, with one fan waving his scarf behind the reporter.

But another, seemingly off-camera, roared: "Scouse c***s!"

The supporter with his scarf then appeared to say: "Woah, woah, woah."

Despite coming up just short, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said his side could not have done anything more as they finished the campaign with 97 points.

"I know people will find something and say a point here or three," he said. "We had lucky moments, City had lucky moments – against Burnley and us. But we scored a strange goal against Everton and a late one against Newcastle .

"It’s not about outplaying everyone, it’s about keeping believing and staying in the race. City found it difficult to get rid of us, and we couldn’t get rid of them.

"Being second in the Premier League isn't what we wanted tonight but we'll take it. This is a first step, that’s how we see it. The team who played the last couple of weeks were together last year apart from Alisson.

"We were 25 points off last season. If we do those same steps again that will be a season.

"I do my job. The boys deserve 100%. Congratulations to Manchester City , they played a good season. They took 198 points in two seasons, not bad."
