Yaya Toure says Silva statue is 'odd'
Yaya Toure has called the plan to build a statue of David Silva outside the Etihad Stadium "odd".
Toure joined City at the same time as Silva and made 316 appearances in his eight-year spell with the club - and seemed to think he ought to receive the same honour.
"The statue for Silva, I am very delighted, very happy. They gave him that.
"For me, it's up to the club – I have nothing much to say about that. They can decide what they want.
“Is it odd though? Yeah. But I can do nothing about it because it is up to the club. The fans know better.”

Luis Enrique strengthens City's stance on Eric Garcia
Luis Enrique has bolstered City's €15m valuation of Eric Garcia by emphasising just how good the player is.
"He has been in the lower teams of the national team and has always done very well on the field, leading inside and outside," said the Barcelona legend.
"He is a very prepared, intelligent, tactical, mature player with a good ball output. I hope he has opportunities to continue growing.
"We summon him for his level, not because there are casualties or other reasons. Hopefully he will be central to the national team for a long time."
Barcelona have been chasing the youngster - who left their academy just four years ago to head to the Etihad.
'Perfect' midfielder available for City
Houssem Aouar, the Lyon midfielder, could be the perfect signing for Manchester City this summer.
He looks likely to leave France next season, with Lyon not in any European competition during 2020/21.
And Pep Guardiola is a long-time admirer of Aouar, having already been impressed by him in the Champions League two years ago.
Midfield might not be a target area for City this summer, but missing out on Aouar would surely be an error.
