BOURNEMOUTH: A Raheem Sterling strike seven minutes into injury time gave Manchester City a 2-1 win over Bournemouth in English Premier League action on Saturday.

The result was a bitter disappointment for the hosts, who are still looking for their first point after three matches of the new season. City have two wins and one draw.

Charlie Daniels put Bournemouth ahead after just 13 minutes and Gabriel Jesus replied eight minutes later for City. But the visitors could not find another goal despite enjoying 70% possession and outshooting their opponents 18-9.

Late into what turned out to be 11 minutes of injury time, Sterling finally found the net after gathering in a Danilo cross and right-footing it home from the centre of the box. Already on a yellow card, Sterling was sent off a minute later for an excessive celebration.
