When you think of the fastest players in the Champions League your mind automatically goes to the likes of Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain or even Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale.
But two Manchester City stars have found themselves in the mix this past season for their lightning efforts in the premier European competition.
Mbappe didn't even manage to make the top five but Bale, even despite a lack of games this season, landed fifth spot for a sprint in a Real match against Roma.
Bale reached 33.8 KM/H during the game but that was pipped by Man City defender Kyle Walker, who hit 34.2 KM/H for the Blues against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League quarter-finals. That's the same speed that Nemanja Radonjic hit during the 2018/19 campaign as well.
Next up was a player who is always there or thereabouts when it comes to a list of the fastest players, with Man City winger Leroy Sane finishing second on this list.
Sane's lightning run came against Hoffenheim during the group stages but it wasn't enough to take top spot, which was reserved for an outstanding effort from a certain Liverpool star.
You would naturally think that one of the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or even full-backs Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold would lead the list, but it's Virgil van Dijk who posted the fastest time .
The run came against Barcelona at the Camp Nou during Liverpool's 3-0 hammering in the first leg of the semi-finals, with the Dutch defender running back from a corner.
