Man City confident of sealing £90m Jadon Sancho transfer- due to 'five key reasons'

Manchester City are growing increasingly more assured that they will be able to seal the £90m transfer of Jadon Sancho due to a number of factors in their favour.

Sancho has become a revelation since he left City to join Dortmund in 2017, scoring 25 goals in 77 appearances in three seasons for the Bundesliga giants and breaking into the England starting 11 in the process.

He is now among the most sought after young prospects in European football, with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool also being linked with a move for the 19-year-old, but according to the Sun City think they are in pole position for his signature for five reasons.

Firstly, they will reportedly be entitled to a 20 percent discount on any transfer fee agreed with Dortmund due to a sell on clause they included when they let the player leave.

As well as that, there is also thought to be an option to match any offer which comes in from other clubs, so City would be notified if any team tried to pinch Sancho from under their noses.

Sancho is also known to have a particularly close relationship with City talisman Raheem Sterling, with the two forming a bond while on international duty with England. The prospect of the two linking up under Pep Guardiola is a frightening one for any opposition, and they could terrorize defences.

Sancho should also need no time to get used to life at the Etihad, thanks to the two years he spent at their academy, and a return would be the move which causes him the least disruption.

He is also now a regular for the England national side (PA)

Finally, he is said to want to move to a club with loftier ambitions than Dortmund, who have not won the Bundesliga since 2012 and have only once made it beyond the quarter-finals of the Champions League this century, when they made it to the final in 2013 before losing to Bayern Munich.

City are undoubtedly a team who could fulfill Sancho's lofty ambitions, and he could well see them as the most attractive option.
