Man City close in on deal for Argentina youngster Dario Sarmiento and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are close to securing a deal for Argentina youngster Dario Sarmiento - according to reports.

The Blues regularly scour the world for the best young talent, signing FK Partizan youngster Filip Stevanovic during the summer transfer window. The 18-year-old will move to England in January.

City Football Group have a wide network of clubs used to hand first-team experience to upcoming talents with youngsters such as Yan Couto and Pablo Moreno joining Girona.

According to Fabrizio Romano, City are close to reaching an agreement for 17-year-old Sarmiento who currently plys his trade for Estuandiates.

Ederson claims he is the best penalty taker at Manchester City

The winger made his debut for the club this season and has been capped six times at U16 level for Argentina, scoring four goals.

Romano claims City have agreed to pay €9million upfront with the deal being potentially worth €19m.

Elsewhere, City have been linked with a move for Valencia starlet Kang-in Lee.

Spanish outlet La Razón believe the 19-year-old is fed up with his situation at the Mestalla and is unwilling to sign an extension on his current deal which expires in 2022.

As a result, Valencia are believed to be open to offers in January and City are credited with an interest.

City have already benefitted from a contract situation at Valencia, signing Ferran Torres in the summer at a cut-price.
