Man City centre-half linked with Premier League rivals and other transfer rumours

Manchester City's young defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis has been linked with a switch to two of their top-flight rivals.

The centre-half was despatched to Championship side Burnley at the start of the season. He has been reunited with ex- City captain Vincent Kompany, now in charge of the Clarets, and has been a mainstay in the team which sits top of the second tier.

The 20-year-old's performances have been so impressive that he has now gathered admiring glances from both Wolves and Leicester, according to the Sun. Wolves, of course, have a new manager in the shape of Julen Lopetegui and it is reported that he is eyeing the young Englishman as part of a big defensive overhaul.

Leicester City are also namechecked as a possible destination for Harwood-Bellis, who is under contract at the Etihad until the summer of 2024.

Meanwhile, The Athletic reports that City are set to welcome Brentford set-piece specialist Jack Wilson into the club. His work has won plaudits from those inside the game with Premier League clubs now tending to bring in analysts for dead-ball situations.

Wilson, who lists Hearts and Northern Ireland among his previous employers, has already exited Brentford and will join those at the Etihad over the World Cup break. He will not play any role in City's clash with Brentford next weekend as a result.

Just six of City's 39 goals have come from set-pieces this season and so the Blues will hope Wilson can increase this ratio going forward.
