City have won each of their home Premier League games by a 5-0 scoreline already this season and also won by the same margin on the final day of last season against Everton.
If they win by a five goal difference again this weekend they will become the first team in Premier League history to ever win four consecutive matches by such a scoreline - and only the third team in English top-flight history to ever do so.
Currently the only sides to achieve such a feat are Aston Villa back in 1899 and Everton back in 1931.
City have won eight of their last nine Premier League meetings with Southampton at all venues and the Saints have lost nine of their last 10 visits to the Etihad.
