Pep Guardiola has made the final shortlist for The Best FIFA Men's Coach award for his accomplishments in 2021.
Guardiola led Manchester City to a remarkable Premier League win thanks to a sensational winning run from December to March, as well as lifting a fourth consecutive Carabao Cup.
City reached an FA Cup semi-final, and also got to a Champions League final for the first time in their history, recording famous wins over Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain.
This season, Guardiola has recovered from a slow start to put 11 straight wins together in the Premier League to take full control of what as a three-horse title race, while City topped a group featuring Lionel Messi's Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
In recognition of his achievements, Guardiola has made the final three for the Best Men's coach of the year to be awarded at the upcoming FIFA Best awards.
He goes up against former City boss Roberto Mancini, who led Italy to the Euro 2020 title, and Chelsea's Champions League-winning manager Thomas Tuchel. The winner will be announced later this month.
The nomination comes as Guardiola was also shortlisted for the Premier League Manager of the Month award after guiding Cityto six wins from six.
Joao Cancelo and Raheem Sterling were shortlisted for the Player of the Month award, while Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne are in the running for Goal of the Month. Bernardo's sublime volley at Aston Villa and De Bruyne's thunderbolt against Leeds earn them a place on that shortlist.
