Man City boss Pep Guardiola makes big claim about Watford and Javi Gracia ahead of FA Cup final

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been full of praise for his opposite number Javi Gracia and Watford ahead of the FA Cup final at Wembley this afternoon (Saturday).

City take on the Hornets at Wembley in the showpiece event, with Guardiola's men looking to become the first side to win a domestic treble in one season as they look to add the FA Cup to the Premier League and Carabao Cup trophies they have already won.

But Guardiola has warned his side against complacency for the final, with the Manchester City boss making a big claim about Watford and their Spanish manager.

"Watford and Wolves are the best teams outside of the top six," he said, speaking to the BBC .

"They were consistent teams, Everton were up and down, Leicester finished incredibly well under Brendan Rodgers. Watford with Javi Gracia, he is an experienced manager from working in other countries and I think he is an excellent guy, and excellent manager and knows exactly what to do.

Harry Redknapp's ominous warning about Man City as he expresses concern for Watford in cup final

"They have huge talent up front, many physical players, good on set pieces and this is a final, we know what can happen. We believe a lot in ourselves and we will have to find the antidote to beat them."

And although City are the heavy favourites for the cup final, Guardiola says that the result is by no means a given for his treble-chasing side.

"It is a cup final, anything can happen like a red card. They can prepare the final better, they can make a strategy we did not expect. In one game, anything can happen," he said.

Watford handed FA Cup final boost as Jose Holebas red card is overturned

"Normally the better team wins, but a decision of the referee could make the difference. In the Premier League you have another chance and can be more relaxed, but this is completely different."
