Man City boss Pep Guardiola defends Sergio Aguero after Sian Massey-Ellis incident

Pep Guardiola played down an incident involving Sergio Aguero and official Sian Massey-Ellis during Manchester City's 1-0 victory over Arsenal.

City got back to winning ways on their return to Premier League action on Saturday night after losing to Leicester and drawing with Leeds in the previous two league matches.

It was Raheem Sterling who grabbed the winner in the first half as he tucked away a rebound from Phil Foden's shot following a slick passing move.

Aguero played a key role in the goal as he made his first appearance for nearly four months after recovering from knee surgery.

The Argentine was also involved in an incident with Massey during the opening 45 minutes, putting his hand on the official's shoulder as he protested a throw-in decision.

The incident was mentioned to Guardiola in a post-match press conference but the Blues boss leapt to his striker's defence.

"Come on guys. Sergio is the nicest person I have ever met in my life," he said. "Look for problems in other situations, not in this one."
