Man City 'bid £100m bid for Harry Kane' and more transfer rumours

Manchester City have submitted a £100m bid for Tottenham's Harry Kane.

That is according to renowned transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano who claims the Blues have made their opening offer for Kane which would smash the British transfer record, although it's reported that City are willing to offer more than just that hefty fee.

It's said that City have offered Spurs £100m and one player as a makeweight in the deal for the three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner, with Raheem Sterling, Aymeric Laporte and Gabriel Jesus among the names that have been touted for such a move.

However, the MEN understands from sources at City and Spurs that there has not yet been any official offer made.

Romano has reaffirmed previous reports that Kane's future will be decided after this summer's European Championship, though, and it's also believed that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has no intention to accept City's bid for the 27-year-old.

Previous reports have claimed Tottenham would only considering selling Kane for a bid in excess of £120m.

In more transfer news, Pep Guardiola has been handed a transfer boost, that is if he intends to sign Denis Zakaria because BILD report rivals Liverpool have now pulled out of the race for his signature - the article claims that is down to concerns over his injury record.

Zakaria has now made a full return to fitness from a serious knee injury, seemingly rediscovering his best form with Borussia Mönchengladbach towards the end of the season and he's now playing at Euro 2020 with Switzerland.

The 24-year-old is heading into the final year of his contract in Germany and reportedly could be available for just €30m (£25m).
