Viewers left perplexed with kit clash in Man City and Tottenham Champions League clash

Viewers have been raging about the inexplicable kit clash during Man City and Tottenham's Champions League quarter-final second leg, and some believe that the clash is responsible for the goal fest.

It's an evenly poised tie with Spurs holding the one goal advantage after Son Heung-min's winner at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It was an incredible opening twenty minutes at the Etihad with City going in front, then falling behind, before taking the lead once again in an absolute whirlwind of a game.

Yet it was the kit clash that grabbed a lot of attention from viewers.

City didn't do anything wrong as they wore their traditional home kit of sky blue shirts, white shorts and dark socks.

Spurs, however, wore a turquoise away kit with dark green trimming that really clashed with City's kit and even blended in with the green pitch, too.

Man City fans concerned with two players missing from team to face Tottenham Hotspur in Champions League clash

Viewers were not at all happy with the clash and took to social media to vent their frustrations. A selection of their reactions can be seen below:

That explains it

Someone messed up

All over the place

Strong chance

Least the football is good!

It's not easy watching

One word for it!

They have an excuse
