Liverpool and Manchester City's remaining Premier League fixtures - title race down to the wire

Man City are back on top of the Premier League after a 1-0 win over Burnley.

And now just two games remain.

Liverpool, who beat Huddersfield to briefly go the summit this weekend, will hope City slip up, but their chances are becoming slimmer.

The 5-0 romp on Friday saw the Reds extend their winning run in all competitions to 10 games, moving Liverpool onto 91 points. City are a point ahead.

Will Liverpool be successful in their bid to end their 29-year wait for a league title?

Here's how the respective fixtures lists now look...

Saturday, May 4: Newcastle v Liverpool (7.45pm)

Newcastle were swept aside 4-0 at Anfield but Liverpool don't have a good record at St James' Park having won only one in seven - the 6-0 triumph in 2013.

They're also the the last team to beat Manchester City in the Premier League.

Rafa Benitez's side are now guaranteed to stay up this season.

Gary Neville already has Liverpool commentary planned if Man City win Premier League

Monday, May 6: Man City v Leicester (8pm)

City lost at Leicester over Christmas, which ended a run of five straight wins against the Foxes.

They've only been beaten in the home fixture once since 2004, though.

That said, the prospect of former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers halting the team that preventing him winning the title in 2014 is intriguing.

Sunday, May 12: Brighton v Man City (3pm), Liverpool v Wolves (3pm)

City have only met Brighton on 20 previous occasions but have won all three Premier League fixtures, including a 2-0 home triumph back in September.

Liverpool lost at Wolves in the FA Cup in January but won at Molineux the previous month in the Premier League.

However, they have lost three of the last six Anfield games between the sides.
