Man City and Dinamo Zagreb charged by UEFA after Champions League fixture

Manchester City and Dinamo Zagreb have both been charged by UEFA over the behaviour of fans at the Champions League clash at the Etihad on Tuesday night.

City and the Croatian side have both been charged while Dinamo also have a charge to answer with relation to acts of damages.

MEN Sport revealed supporters of the away team had ripped out around 150 seats at the Etihad and there were also allegations of fans scuffling with security, spitting, ripping out seats and throwing missiles by Blues fans sitting close to the away section during the game, which City won 2-0.

A City source confirmed roughly 150 were damaged by the away supporters and with Wolves visiting the Etihad in the Premier League on Sunday City will have to get any repair works carried out quickly.

The MEN understands City will look to recoup any costs for repairs from Dinamo.

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body will deal with this case at its meeting on 17 October.

City have a 100 per cent record in this season's Champions League after wins against Shakhtar Donetsk on the first match day and a 2-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb, thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden, on Tuesday night.
