A man has been charged with stealing a diamond worth more than half a million pounds belonging to Petra Ecclestone’s ex-husband, James Stunt.
Justinas Ivaskivicius 34, of Fallowfield, Cambridge, is accused of taking the rock worth £515,000 from Mr Stunt’s Westminster home at some point between December 12 and 15, 2017.
Mr Stunt, 38, who was married to Ms Ecclestone between 2011 and 2017, amassed his wealth through an array of investments, including mining, art and wine.
He is named as the alleged victim in a theft charge which Ivaskivicius is due to face this morning at Westminster magistrates court.
Ivaskivicius also faces a charge of possessing criminal property over a “quantity of cash” found yesterday, Scotland Yard said.
Detectives from Met Police’s Flying Squad arrested Ivaskivicius at an address in Chesterton, Cambridge on Wednesday.
He is due to appear this morning via videolink at Westminster Magistrates' Court to face the charges.
No pleas have yet been offered.
