A man has been charged with stalking and vandalism after crashing his car into the gates of Jennifer Aniston’s Los Angeles home while she was inside.
The incident happened around midday on Monday, when 48-year-old Jimmy Wayne Carwyle allegedly drove into the entrance of the actress’s $21 million (£15.8 million) Bel-Air property.
A security guard reportedly detained Carwyle on the driveway and held him until the LAPD arrived and took him into custody.
Police have not yet determined whether the incident was accidental or intentional.
Authorities also confirmed that Aniston was home during the incident. No injuries were reported.
According to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, Carwyle has been charged with one count of felony stalking and one count of felony vandalism.

He also faces an aggravating circumstance involving the threat of serious bodily harm.
Officials say Carwyle had been harassing the actress since March 2023, sending repeated messages via email, voicemail, and social media.
He is due to appear in court on Thursday. His bail has been set at $150,000 ( £112,740 ), and if convicted, he could face up to three years in prison.
Social media posts linked to Carwyle suggest he had developed an obsessive interest in the Friends star.
He posted on Facebook on March 26: “I’ve been writing, since the Beginning Jennifer Joanna Aniston Carwyle, with you.”
Then last October, he posted an advertisement the star had done for Lolavie Haircare products and wrote: “I LOVE YOU Emanuel Jennifer Joanna Aniston Carwyle!”
NBC News previously reported that Carwyle left his native Mississippi in September to live out of his car at a Walmart Supercenter in the L.A. suburb of Burbank.
A childhood friend, Steve Rhea, has revealed concerns for Carwyle’s mental health, explaining how he previously held a well-paying job as an automobile service technician but quit five years ago.
“We just hope he gets the help he needs. I hope there’s some way to fix him, but I don’t know,” Rhea told the outlet.
Aniston purchased the gated, 8,500-square-foot home in 2011.
It features four bedrooms, a wine cellar, and a guesthouse, and was the location of her 2015 wedding to actor Justin Theroux.
