The police have charged a man sexually assaulting a child.
Detectives from PSNI’s Public Protection Branch charged the 32-year-old man with the “sexual assault of a child under 13 years of age”.
He is due to appear in Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Tuesday, August 27). It is understood the child is female.
As is normal procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charge is in relation to a report of a sexual offence in the Dundonald area on Saturday, August 24.
