Man charged with rape following report of sex assaults in Ormeau Park

A 22-year-old man has been charged with rape following a report of sex assaults in South Belfast.

Police were alerted to an alleged incident involving two males and two teenage girls between 8.30pm and 10.30pm on June 13.

Detectives investigating the report of sexual assaults in Ormeau Park have charged a 22-year-old man with rape. 

A PSNI spokesperson said: "He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 25 June. 

"As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
