A man has been charged with rape following an incident in Co Armagh on Friday afternoon.
Police say they received a report shortly after 2pm that a female had been sexually assaulted at a house in the Castleblaney Street area of Newtownhamilton.
A 38-year-old man was arrested by police and has since been charged with a number of offences including rape and threats to kill.
He is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday, August 17.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
