An 83-year-old man has been charged with murder after the body of his 82-year-old wife was found south of Brisbane.
Paramedics called police to a Kingston Road home in the Logan suburb of Kingston at 1:00am on Sunday after finding the body of the retired teacher.
The woman's husband was arrested at the scene and a crime scene was declared.
Their son, Joe Hu, arrived at the scene from Bundaberg about noon. He was met by forensic teams scouring the house.
Kneeling in front of the family home, Mr Hu bowed to the ground in a show of respect.
The 83-year-old man has been charged with one count of murder and will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
