Man charged with execution-style murder of sleeping 15yo boy

The man charged with the execution-style shooting of a 15-year-old boy while he slept on Good Friday in Sydney's south-west will remain behind bars tonight after his lawyer did not apply for bail.

Brayden Dillon was found by police with a gunshot wound to the head at his Glenfield home on Good Friday at 6:10am.

NSW Police said the shooting was a targeted attack.

Conrad Craig, 26, was charged with murder last night and did not appear in Blacktown Local Court this morning, when the case was heard briefly.

Craig's lawyer Brad Mallinson said his client would apply for bail at his next hearing.

Boy's mother confronted gunman

Before entering the boy's bedroom, the gunman, whose face was covered, kicked in the front door of the house.

He then went upstairs where he was confronted by the boy's mother.

Officers said the pair exchanged words but would not detail their conversation.

The boy's siblings, aged seven and one, were in the house at the time.

On Monday, police released an image of a white Mazda 3 that was seen travelling to the area at the time of the murder.

Police said once they were able to identify the car, they would be able to identify the person responsible for Mr Dillon's murder.
