Man charged with murder of Sarah Henshaw in Armley to appear in court

A man has now been charged with the murder of Sarah Henshaw in a flat in Armley.

The 40-year-old was found dead in the property on Athlone Grove in February. A short time later, a man suffered serious injuries after falling from a footbridge over the A64 in Leeds city centre.

Police identified him as the suspect in the murder investigation. He has been named as Kileo Mbega, 31, and until now has been held under arrest on police guard in hospital.

Mbega is charged with murder and one count of fraud by false representation. He will appear at Bradford Magistrates Court later today.

Sarah's body was found in the flat in Redcourt apartments building on the morning of February 11.

Tributes were paid to Sarah in the days after her death, with friends describing her as 'aboslutely amazing'.
