Man charged with murder of boy, 15, in Islington

A man has been charged with the murder of a teenager in Islington, the Metropolitan Police has announced.

Fifteen-year-old Adam John Henry was fatally stabbed on Westbourne Road in Islington on December 9.

Police were called to the scene at around 1pm and were joined by first responders from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics and medical teams, Adam sadly later died in hospital. His family is being supported by specialist officers.

Tsidi Winion, 20, was charged with murder and the possession of an offensive weapon on December 15.

He is expected to appear at Willesden Magistrates' Court on December 16 and will remain in custody until then.

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Adam’s family at this incredibly difficult time.

“While a man has now been charged, our investigation continues, and we urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to contact the police.”

Detectives have asked anyone with information that might assist in the ongoing investigation to get in touch by calling 101, quoting reference CAD 3568/09DEC, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
