A man has been charged with murder following the death of an 82-year-old woman in Co Antrim.
Police were called to the scene of a sudden death in the Dromaine Drive area of Larne on March 30.
Detective Inspector Millar, from the Major Investigation Team, said: “Police were called to the scene of the sudden death of an 82 year old woman in the Dromaine Drive area of Larne on the evening of Monday 30th March.
"A post mortem examination has been carried out and we are now treating the death as murder.”
Detectives have since charged a 32-year old man with murder.
He is due to appear at Laganside Magistrates Court on Friday 3 April. As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.
