Drunk driver kills teenager in 76mph front garden crash

A drunk driver killed a teenager when speeding at nearly 100mph in 30mph and 40mph zones.
Andrew Price "lost control" of his black Lexus IS and hit four parked vehicles before smashing into front gardens in Haydock.
Backseat passenger Adam Edwards, 19, suffered catastrophic internal injuries and died in an ambulance on the way to hospital.
Front seat passenger Anthony Finch, 25, was put in a coma and spent three months in hospital due to his life changing injuries.
Liverpool Crown Court heard Price "died" at the scene but was brought back to life with CPR and defibrillation shocks.
Members of the victims' families gasped when CCTV footage of his "shocking" driving was today played in court.
Judge Stuart Driver, QC, told Price: "You chose deliberately to drive very dangerously for no reason other than your own pleasure."
Price, 27, of Southworth Road, Newton-le-Willows, admitted causing Mr Edwards' death and Mr Finch's serious injuries by dangerous driving.
He had three passengers when he crashed in Vista Road, near its junction with Queen's Road, at around 8.50pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.

If you were hoping for a late Indian summer or mild autumn, things aren't looking great.
Across Merseyside, temperatures have dropped significantly while the weather has been overcast or raining.
And it's not looking like the weather will change anytime soon.
Temperatures are expected to plummet further to 13C during the day and 10C in the early morning in some parts of Merseyside.
According to Yorkshire Live, the Met Office's Aidan Givern said: "With Atlantic weather now in charge, we can expect very changeable weather through the week. There'll be wind and rain, but also showery and sunnier periods at times."
Snow has already been said to have hit hilly parts of Scotland, with pictures circulating in the national media and more could fall in the UK in the coming weeks.
