Man charged with murder could face trial in October

The trial date of a Bristol man charged with murder is yet to be set.

Krzystof Solosciuk, 39, from Pound Drive in Bristol, was charged with murder after Lukasz Grabowski was found outside a hospital in Gloucester.

Mr Grabowski, also from Bristol, was discovered with serious head injuries in Great Western Road on November 21 and later died.

A trial date was set for May 20 and then May 15 this year.

But, after a hearing at Bristol Crown Court today (April 18), a date for a trial expected to last two-and-a-half weeks remains unfixed but could take place in October or November.

Solosciuk, with black hair and a black beard, and wearing a grey sweat top, spoke only to confirm his identity.

Most of the 53-minute hearing before Judge William Hart was in chambers.

Mr Grabowski was originally from Poland but had been living in Bristol.

Solosciuk is remanded in custody.
