Man charged with murder as police name man who died in Hartcliffe

A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder after Mark Millett died in Hartcliffe at the weekend.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said a post-mortem investigation into Mark's death revealed he died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Police were called to a property on Bishport Avenue, Hartcliffe, at around 4pm on Saturday (October 26).

Tragically, Mr Millett, who was aged 39, died at the scene.

Daniel Kevin Millett was arrested on Saturday and tonight (Tuesday) detectives have formally charged the 45-year-old.

A force spokesperson said: "This evening we've charged a 45-year-old man with the murder of Mark Millett in Hartcliffe.

"Mr Millett, aged 39, died following an incident at a property in Bishport Avenue at around 4pm on Saturday (October 26).

"A post-mortem examination confirmed he died from a single stab wound to the chest.


"Daniel Kevin Millett, aged 45, of Bishopsworth, has been charged with his murder and he will appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court tomorrow (October 30)."
