A man has been charged with murdering a woman at Crafers West, in the Adelaide Hills.
South Australian Police said patrols were called to a home on Charlick Road at about 1.45pm today to check on the welfare of the occupants.
They said officers found a 62-year-old woman dead in a rear shed.
Major Crime and Forensic Investigators attended the scene.
A 36-year-old man from Crafers West was arrested at the scene following investigations.
Police said the man and woman were known to each other and that it was not a random incident.
The man has been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.
Police have asked for anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers.
