(Picture: The Met Police)A man has been charged with murder after a teenager was shot in the head.
Jaden McGibbon, of Warltersville Road in Islington, north London, was charged on Sunday with the murder of 19-year-old Taylor Cox, the Metropolitan Police said.
McGibbon, also 19, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, the force added.
Officers were called to Hornsey Rise Gardens in Islington shortly before 4.30pm on Tuesday after police received reports of gunshots in the area.
Mr Cox was found suffering from gunshot injuries and was taken to hospital but was later pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the head.
Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.
