Man charged with murder after body found in Bo'ness flat

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after an incident at the weekend.

Jonathan Robert Bell, 35, is accused of murdering Jim Johnston, 39, of Bo'ness, in an alleged incident at a flat in Drumpark Avenue, Bo'ness, around 2pm on Saturday April, 17.

At a brief private hearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court today, Bell, also of Bo'ness, made no plea.

Sheriff Derek Livingston continued the case for further examination and remanded Bell in custody.

He will appear in court again in eight days' time.

Police and forensics officers were seen at the property over the weekend.

Tributes have been paid to Jim Johnston, with one neighbouring describing him as a 'pleasant man'.
