'Extremely, violently killed': Man charged with bikie's murder

Police are investigating the suspicious death of a man at a truck repair business at Salisbury on Sunday night.

A Yorke Peninsula man has been charged with the murder of David Norris, who had links to the Hells Angels motorcycle gang.

Police were called to Northern City Tipper Hire on Fisher Street at Salisbury at 6:18pm on Sunday.

They found the body of the 39-year-old victim, who was the owner of the business.

Detective Superintendent Des Bray said it was obvious that Mr Norris had met with foul play.

"The person had been extremely, violently killed, and it was clear to police at the scene, that would have been the intention of the person or persons responsible," he said.

"A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder ... at the Kadina police station."

Superintendent Bray said Mr Norris had been known to police as a member of the Hells Angels.

Police said a white Holden Commodore had been seen leaving the premises at 6:05pm, carrying four occupants.

A friend of Mr Norris called emergency services and tried in vain to save his life with CPR.

The four people were found at Kadina on Monday afternoon in a search of three properties.

The charged man appeared in Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon and has been remanded in custody.

He will next appear at the Adelaide Magistrates Court in late November.

The other three men have been released.
