Man charged with murder after 40yo allegedly hit by car

Police were called to the scene on Saturday night.

A 26-year-old Sunshine West man has been charged with murder following the death of a man who was allegedly struck by a car in Melbourne's west.

Police allege two men were hit by the car, and then assaulted, on Castley Crescent at Braybrook about 9:30pm on Saturday.

A 40-year-old man died in hospital. The other man, 44, remains in a serious condition.

The Sunshine West man has been charged with one count of murder and intentionally causing serious injury.

He is expected to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
