A man has been charged with murder after a 32-year-old was stabbed to death in Leyton.

Kieran McHugh, 30, will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with the murder of Abdi Khadar Adan.

McHugh, of Waltham Forest in east London, was arrested by detectives on Monday.

Police were called at 4.30pm on Sunday to reports of a man stabbed at a property in Lea Bridge Road.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found the victim suffering stab injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.

A post-mortem examination on Tuesday confirmed he died of a stab injury.
