Man charged with intent to endanger life after arson attack outside nightclub

A man has been charged following an arson attack outside a nightclub.

John Kirk was arrested on Sunday, March 6, following an incident on High Street in Runcorn, which saw a flammable object thrown outside a nightclub shortly after 2am.

However, there were no reports of any injuries and no damage was caused to any buildings.

Cheshire Police has since charged the 34-year-old, of the Hove, Runcorn, with arson with intent to endanger life.

Kirk has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at North Cheshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday (March 7).
