A man who allegedly assaulted five girls and women at an Adelaide shopping centre and on a public bus on Sunday has been arrested and charged.

Police said one of the victims was just 12 years old, and that not all of them had yet been identified.

Police were called to Westfield Marion Shopping Centre at Oaklands Park just after 11am and spoke to several young victims.

It is alleged the 29-year-old suspect was on a public bus, travelling from O'Halloran Hill along Chandlers Hill Road to the shopping complex, when he assaulted one of the victims.

When the bus stopped at Marion Interchange, he allegedly followed the girls into the centre and indecently assaulted one of them.

Police said other victims were assaulted at the centre between 10:30am and 11am, and "were understandably distressed".

CCTV from the centre indicates there were five victims but only four have been identified.

The 29-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of aggravated indecent assault, as well as one count of indecent assault, and assault.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.

Victims who have not already spoken to police, or anyone who witnessed the assaults, have been asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
