(Picture: PA Wire)A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a 52-year-old man was left with a life-threatening injury following a football match between Queen Park Rangers and Luton Town.
Officers came across the man who had suffered a serious head injury in Uxbridge Road following the Championship match at around 9.50pm on Friday, November 19.
The victim, from the Luton area, was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
His family have been informed.
Jack Ellicott, 26, of Edgware, was charged and appeared in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 22.
Ellicott was bailed to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday, December 20.
Detectives from the Met’s Central West BCU are appealing to anyone who witnessed disorder after the match or who saw the incident which caused the man’s injury. Anyone with mobile phone footage that may be relevant is also urged to contact police.
