A man has been arrested following five sexual offences in the west of Edinburgh, including one against a teenager.
The string of incidents took place in the Viewforth, Union Canal, and Craiglockhart areas of the city over nearly two months.
A 62-year-old man has now been charged with all five offences and is due to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday, 22 February.
The first of the incidents dates back to 31 December 2020.
Most recently, a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted as she walked in a wooded area in Craiglockhart yesterday.
Detective Inspector Keith Fairbairn from Edinburgh’s Public Protection Unit said: “We continue to conduct enquiries in relation to these offences.
"Anyone who may have witnessed a crime, or not reported an incident to officers already, should come forward so we can thoroughly investigate.”
