Man charged with firearms offences after shooting in Cheetham Hill

A man has been charged with multiple firearm offences after a shooting in Cheetham Hill.

Police say 'several people' were injured during a disturbance at around 5am on Broughton Street and Cheetwood Road in Cheetham Hill at around 5am on Sunday, July 14.

A firearm was discharged at the scene, officers said.

A handgun found at an address in Oldham after a warrant was executed by officers on Friday, July 26.

Clive Walllace, 31, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Wallace, of  Bakery Court, Ashton-under-Lyne, was also charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of a firearm when prohibited for life
  • Violent disorder
  • Possession of a section 5 firearm
  • Possession of a bladed article
  • Two counts of driving whilst disqualified
  • Two counts of driving without insurance

He was due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today.
