A man has been charged with the fatal stabbing of a man whose body was discovered in the backyard of a home in Chatham on the South Side last year.

Tony Shields, 29, is charged with one felony count of first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Malcolm Mullins, Chicago police said.

On Nov. 14, 2020, Mullins was discovered with multiple stab wounds in the backyard of a home in the 8200 block of South Dobson Avenue after getting into a “physical altercation” with a group of people, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
