
A man has been charged with the fatal stabbing of a man whose body was discovered in the backyard of a home in Chatham on the South Side last year.
Tony Shields, 29, is charged with one felony count of first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Malcolm Mullins, Chicago police said.
On Nov. 14, 2020, Mullins was discovered with multiple stab wounds in the backyard of a home in the 8200 block of South Dobson Avenue after getting into a “physical altercation” with a group of people, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shields was arrested Tuesday in Rock Island after allegedly being identified as the person who stabbed Mullins, police said.
Shields was expected to appear in court Thursday.
