Police say a man they stopped for 'drink driving' offences had a child in the vehicle at the time.
Officers say they stopped the vehicle in the Stangmore area of Dungannon on Sunday night, November 10, just as the driver was approaching the M1 motorway with a child as a passenger.
A PSNI Dungannon spokesperson posted on Facebook: "Another night of catching drunk drivers and picking up the pieces
"Two separate individuals caught last night, one stopped at Stangmore heading onto the M1 - he had a child as a passenger.
"The other caught on Quarry Lane heading over the roundabout to Newell Road.
"Both had no control of their vehicles. Pure madness."
When asked about the incident involving the child, a PSNI spokesperson told Belfast Live: "Police have charged a 42-year-old man with driving with excess alcohol in breath. He is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 4 December.
"As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service."
