Man charged with double shooting in Southmead appears in court

A man charged with a double shooting in Southmead has appeared before Bristol Crown Court.

Two people were shot in Ringwood Crescent, Southmead, on June 18.

Following police inquiries Blake Hoskins, 20, of no fixed abode, was charged with attempted murder, GBH and affray, as well as a firearms offence and criminal damage.

His case was mentioned at a plea and trial preparation hearing at the crown court today (July 20).

In a 25-minute hearing Judge Mark Horton adjourned the case for a further case management hearing on October 9.

Hoskins was remanded in custody.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment for shotgun wounds not believed life-threatening.

The injured woman was discharged from hospital following treatment.
