Man charged with attempted murder in Knowle due to face trial

A man charged in connection with a series of assaults in south Bristol is due to face trial in August.

Benjamin Bridgeman, 37, of Eva Turner Close, is charged with three charges of attempted murder, three charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and attempted grievous bodily harm.

The charges follow a 26-year-old man and a 50-year-old man sustaining stab wounds and another 26-year-old man sustaining a head injury after they were attacked by a man with a knife on Wells Road in February.

Bridgeman's case is next due at Bristol Crown Court for a further case management hearing on May 15.

He is due to face trial at the court on August 25.

He has been remanded in custody.
