Man charged with attempted murder following attack in Troon

A man has been arrested and charged in relation to an attempted murder in Troon on Saturday night.

Two people - a 49-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man - were seriously injured after an assault at a flat in North Shore Road.

Police have now confirmed that a 51-year-old man has been held in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court tomorrow (Thursday).
