Man charged with attempted murder after victim attacked at bus stop in Glasgow city centre

A man has been charged following the attempted murder of a 60-year-old in Glasgow city centre.

A 60-year-old was attacked at a bus shelter just outside Bar Burrito on Hope Street around 11.45pm on Friday, October 8.

The victim sustained a serious injury and was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition, Police Scotland said today.

A 50-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow (Tuesday, October 12).

A police spokesperson said: "Detectives would like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation so far."
